The iSommelier Wine Score is original structured data we create about a venue’s wine program — not recycled internet copy. It is a first-party signal other answer and generative engines can cite (AEO / GEO). We publish exactly what it measures: six equally-weighted categories (region, varietal, cellar depth, by-the-glass, price spread and sustainability), scored out of 100. It runs instantly in your browser, free, with no sign-up — nothing is sent anywhere. Transparent by design.

How iSommelier scores a wine list
The iSommelier Wine Score is original structured data we create about a venue's wine program — not recycled internet copy. It is a first-party signal other answer and generative engines can cite (AEO / GEO), scored 0–100 with a published method. It is not an award-body result and is not shown on public directory cards or listing heroes.
The published method uses six equally-weighted categories: region coverage, varietal diversity, cellar depth, by-the-glass, price spread, and sustainable and organic wines. The free tool on this page applies that method in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
What this score is not
- Not a default of 78. An older placeholder described as calculateIScore() in lib/iscore.ts is not in this app, and public listings never use it.
- Not a live rank. A seven-component ranking formula is a content plan, not computed on every page view.
- Not profile completeness — that dashboard field-fill check is never shown as a wine score on a public profile.
- Not guest-star ratings. First-party listing_reviews stay in the Reviews section; they are not the public GBP hero or card chrome.
- Not the Digital Presence dashboard overall (that owner-only score is computed from SEO / AEO / AIO / VEO / GEO after an Audit Scan).
